scheduler never ran for Linux system

Postby archi28 » Mon Jun 27, 2011 12:53 pm

Hi

scheduler not running incoming scheduled tasks. I can send email from SiT, but i want to test if I can pick up incoming emails.

Scheduler is enabled and working as I can see that the next run's time changes. However, none of the tasks run and the "Last Run" is "Never".

I am using Linux system for running SIT, i have tried to set auto.php file in crontab but that is also not working.

Thanks

hello Archi.

the auto.php is what makes the scheduler run, if auto.php doesn't run you won't have any actions, like pulling email etc.

don't forget to add a full path to where the CLI version of php is stored.

try running auto.php manually to see if you get any error (ignore all "php notice" you see )

I take it you've already seen this: Scheduler

If all the scheduler actions are displaying as Last Ran = Never it would indicate that you have no configured your cron job to run auto.php correctly, or that your cron is not running. See the wiki page: Scheduler and the section on troubleshooting scheduler issues, paste part of your error logfile here if you continue to have problems.

You added a new post where you say that the scheduler is now running, is this true ?

can you paste the line you've added to your cronjob.

cheers

Yes now Scheduler is running.

But, i am facing one more problem when we hit the URL for SIT more then 50 notice are coming on login page. (eg. Notice: Undefined index: syslang in /opt/lampp/htdocs/xampp/sit/lib/strings.inc.php on line 20) Is it require to change code for this notice or issue with some log level.

Please help me to solve this.

Thanks

you can disable php notices by editing the php.ini file

http://sitracker.org/wiki/WindowsInstallPHPini

the middle section describes what to do..
