Setting up the Cron to retrieve email

Postby nexusguy59 » Sun Aug 23, 2015 2:36 pm

Hello Every one,

New to SiT but not to linux I just configured SiT Version: 3.65 on an Ubuntu Server 15.04 (fully updated)
I tried to use the documentation in the wiki because I like doing things my self.

My cron is set up with auto.php which is located at /var/www/html
So I want to run every 15 minutes and my crontab looks like the following
*/15 * * * * /usr/bin/php -f /var/www/html/auto.php

I decided to test and I got the following error
root@constellation:~# /usr/bin/php -f /var/www/html/auto.php
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function imap_open() in /var/www/html/lib/fetchSitMail.class.php on line 65

So I checked to see if it was there
root@constellation:~# ls -al /var/www/html/lib/
total 912
drwxr-xr-x 4 administrator administrator 4096 Sep 4 2011 .
drwxr-xr-x 14 root root 12288 Aug 18 08:03 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 administrator administrator 2457 Sep 4 2011 auth.inc.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 administrator administrator 12913 Sep 4 2011 base.inc.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 administrator administrator 73773 Sep 4 2011 billing.inc.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 administrator administrator 22153 Sep 4 2011 classes.inc.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 administrator administrator 34961 Sep 4 2011 configvars.inc.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 administrator administrator 11394 Sep 4 2011 contact.class.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 administrator administrator 2114 Sep 4 2011 contract.inc.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 administrator administrator 14549 Sep 4 2011 defaults.inc.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 administrator administrator 3655 Sep 4 2011 export.inc.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 administrator administrator 4625 Sep 4 2011 fetchSitMail.class.php

any help would be appreciated, as a side not I am used to using MTA and postfix, This time I am trying to use my gmail account because I cannot get an email server working from my home account on TimeWarner.

Thank again,

hello..

first off.
you should upgrade to latest version which is 3.67

you need to check if the SiT requirements is met.
http://sitracker.org/wiki/Install_Requirements

(in this matter the imap module is missing).

cheers
If you have a problem, give us enough info of what you have done, what is configured in relation to your question.
Enable debugging and post it's censored but relevant info. Don't forget to write which version of SiT you're running.
