FOSDEM in Brussels
For the past few years SiT! developers and users have met at the FOSDEM conference in Belgium.
FOSDEM is the biggest free and non-commercial event organised by and for the community. Its goal is to provide Free and Open Source developers a place to meet. FOSDEM 2012 will be held on February 4 and 5 in Brussels, Belgium.
Hotel
We've traditionally chosen to stay at NH Hotels city centre which is a nice hotel with good breakfast. Close to stores (for the ladies) and tram transit to the university where FOSDEM is located. They usually have a promotion called weekend extender which is a recommended choice. There are other hotels nearby that could be cheaper and/or better, there are also hotels that are closer either to the Uni. Campus where FOSDEM is located or to the city centre. NH City Centre is a good place to hang out with the SiT! community.

Rough Itenary
Friday
- Afternoon: Meet up
- Evening: Sample some Belgian beer together somewhere in Brussels, possibly not the official FOSDEM party because it's usually ridiculously busy.
Saturday
- Attend FOSDEM talks
- Evening: A SiT! meetup and meal together somewhere in the centre of Brussels
Sunday
- Attend FOSDEM talks
- Evening: Time to yourself, or another meal/beer together, lets see how people feel on the day.
Monday
- Morning: A face-to-face developers meeting for those staying until Monday, maybe some coding together if we can find space.
- Afternoon: Travel home
