Menu extend plugin
I made this plugin because I was tired of remaking our menu each time we did an upgrade or a link changed.
Version 1.2
- Hide the menu from certain groups configured in the config page.
Planned for version 1.3
- Ability to configure the "position" of the menu, in the SiT! menu bar
- Ability to configure the "permission of each individual menu item
About the plugin
The plugin adds a menu to the end (after the normal SiT! Help menu), with 10 possible entries. The menu's name, link and subitem names and links are configurable.
Installation
- Download and extract the plugin
- Save the file menu_extend.php to your /plugins folder.
- The structure should be:
/yourSiTdirectory/plugins/menu_extend.php
- Install the plugin in SiT, go to : SiT | Control Panel | Configuration
- Locate Load Plugins in the bottom of the screen, and add menu_extend to the comma separated list.
Configuration
- In your SiT installation go to : SiT | Control Panel | Configuration | Plugins | menu_extend
- Configure the menu Name, and the link that the menu main item directs to
- Configure the link and associated displayed text for each entry in the menu as you need.
- Configure any groups you want to hide the menu from (Important: Use the group id(s) only)
- Click "Save"
When you have saved the config, and reloaded your page you will see a menu appear on the main menu bar:
