Important note: For SiT! versions 3.62 and earlier:

A plugin hook has to be added to inboundemail.php after line 480 (Based on the version 3.62LTS of the file):
plugin_do('inboundemail_customer_visibility_update', array('updateid' => $updateid, 'incidentid' => $incidentid, 'visible' => $customer_visible, 'contactid' => $contactid));

For SiT! version 3.63 and later the above change is not required.

About the plugin

The plugin will check if the new update (email inbound) to an incident is from the contact who the incident is logged against, and will show change it to "visible" in the portal. By default all emails that are updates to an incident are not visible in the portal.

  • Download and extract the plugin files.
  • Save the files to your /plugins folder.
  • The structure should be:
  • Install the plugin in SiT, go to : SiT | Control Panel | Configuration
    • Locate Load Plugins in the bottom of the screen, and add incident_update_contact_makevisible to the comma separated list.


  • Go to Config -> Plugins -> incident_update_contact_makevisible and 'disable' the plugin (it is 'enabled' by default).
