User Status
| SiT! Manual | User Guide → User Status | Chapter 2 |
SiT Users have a User Status which is part of their User Profile.
The status is made up of two or three parts, a Presence Status, whether user is accepting incidents and an optional message
You can change your status from the bottom of the main dashboard page.
The following table shows each of the available User Statuses, selecting some statuses will change whether the user is 'Accepting', others leave this setting unchanged.
| Presence Status | Accepting? |
| Absent Sick | No |
| At Lunch | Unchanged |
| In Meeting | Unchanged |
| In Office | Yes |
| Not In Office | No |
| On Holiday | No |
| On Training Course | No |
| Working Away | Unchanged |
| Working From Home | Yes |
Accepting vs. Not Accepting
Although changing status does affect whether a user is marked 'accepting', users can mark themselves Accepting or Not Accepting independently of their Presence status.
When a user is marked as 'Accepting' incidents can be assigned to him/her.
When a user is 'Not Accepting' incidents cannot normally be assigned to him/her. There is an exception to this rule, users with appropriate permissions can 'Force assign' incidents to users that are not accepting.
